The photograph on the moon is taken by Mikael Karlsson
Ever since I was a little boy, the starry sky and its treasures have fascinated me. I remember how I could stand in the garden when I was around 10 years old and look up at the sky with binoculars, a Christmas present from my mom and dad, in my hand. Since then, interest has followed me and I now want to go deeper into this subject area in older days. I have no ambition to become any kind of specialist, but I want to try to increase my understanding of what I actually see when I look up at the sky.
I will keep updating this section with photographs that I have photographed myself. Today I have some photographs on both the Moon and also on our nearest star, the sun. For the various pictures that I publish on my website, I had intended to write a small text where I tell a little more detail about what it is that is actually visible on the respective image. In addition, I will also provide some good book tips for those who want to read a little more about astronomy - these book tips you will be able to see at the bottom of this page.
